What happens when the average person drives a Formula 1 racecar? I found out recently on a hyper-realistic simulator. You accelerate too fast, brake too late, and crash into the barricades again and again.

It turns out having access to the fastest machine in the world didn’t make me a racecar driver.

The same risk exists when non-experts use AI for patent drafting.

The tools are powerful, and the temptation is to floor it. But without patent-specific domain knowledge and AI expertise, instead of driving, you’re just accelerating toward the wall.

Just like racing, expertise isn’t optional. It’s the difference between crashing and crossing the finish line.
